Exciting news from Histon. The Boot is about to close its doors for a short refurbishment, and it’s all in the name of making your next visit even better than the last!

After many happy years serving the Histon community, the team feel it’s time to give the old place a bit of well-deserved attention. Think fresh finishes, a few surprises and a pub that still feels every bit like home, just with a new lease of life.

Here’s what you need to know.

The Boot will close after last sitting at 3pm on Sunday 2nd August, with doors shut by 5pm. Don’t worry though, this is only temporary. The team will be back and ready to welcome you from 4pm on Thursday 27th August.

While the tools are out and the paint is drying, there’s plenty happening behind the scenes. We can’t say too much just yet, but there may well be a launch celebration worth waiting for, and a treat or two for our Treats app members along the way. Keep watching this space for more.

In the meantime, there’s still time to enjoy The Boot as it is. Pop in before 2nd August for one last visit to the pub you know and love, before it comes back looking (and feeling) even better.

Whether it’s a last Sunday roast in the current surroundings or a quiet pint to say a temporary farewell, the team would love to see some familiar faces before the doors close.
