The Boot in Histon is back open!
The Boot in Histon has now reopened after our refurbishment, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to show you everytjomg that we’ve been upto!
From a redesigned garden to a refreshed dining room, there’s plenty to discover, all while The Boot keeps the warm, familiar feel that’s made it a firm favourite in Histon.

What’s Changed at The Boot?
The Snug
The Snug has had a real transformation, now a warm, intimate space with a quieter, more residential feel. It’s the perfect spot for casual dining, catching up over coffee or settling in for relaxed drinks, and it works beautifully for private gatherings too.

The Bar & Bar Dining Areas
The bar now features new mid height seating for a relaxed, informal drinking environment, along with brass table lamps and cafe curtains for a cosy glow.
The bar dining area bridges the gap between drinking and dining perfectly, with doors opening straight onto the refreshed terrace for a seamless flow between inside and out.

The Dining Room at The Boot
Our dining room has been completely refreshed to feel warm, light and elegant, offering a comfortable, dedicated space that’s separate from the bar while still keeping guests connected to the buzz of the pub.
Finished beautifully throughout, decorative artwork, new blinds and soft furnishings reinforce our classic Heartwood identity.
Our Garden & Outdoor Spaces
Outside, there’s a beautifully refurbished pergola with updated fixed seating, new outdoor bench seat pads and comfortable scatter cushions.
More covered areas mean alfresco drinking and dining can be enjoyed whatever the weather, and the terrace and gardens now feature new dining tables, chairs and picnic benches alongside freshly refurbished existing furniture.
There’s also a Boules Garden to discover, with a freshly returfed lawn, large olive trees and stylish corten planters home to mature climbing jasmine.
Overhead, 23 bespoke Heartwood Inns umbrellas provide shade and shelter, each one eco-friendly, made from recycled PET and FSC-certified wood.
Sustainable Planting
The gardens have been redesigned with sustainability at their heart, focusing on long term perennial plantings that provide a year round habitat for bees and pollinators.
Rather than short term seasonal bedding plants and quick refreshes, established plants are left to grow stronger each year, supporting local wildlife for the long term.
