Everything You Need to Know About Pub in the Park 2026
Pub in the Park is back in Marlow for 2026, and this year’s festival is shaping up to be one of the best yet.
Running from 14th to 17th May in Higginson Park, it’s four days of world-class food and incredible live music.
And we’re proud to say that The George & Dragon is right in the thick of it, both as the venue for the official launch event and as one of the pubs/restaurants serving up dishes in the park across the festival weekend.
What to expect at Pub in the Park 2026
This year’s chef line-up includes Raymond Blanc OBE, Si King, James Martin, Tommy Banks, Emily English, Matt Tebbutt, Helen McGinn and Marlow favourite Atul Kochhar.
Food-wise, festival favourites like The Oarsman, The Star Inn, Ginger Wings and Rick Stein will return, alongside exciting newcomers including Temper and Six by Nico.
And because no Pub in the Park weekend is complete without a proper soundtrack, this year’s music line-up includes McFly, Razorlight, Craig David, Gabrielle and Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra.

What The George & Dragon will be serving at Pub in the Park
The dishes that we’re taking to Higginson Park are adapted from The George & Dragon à la carte menu we serve day in, day out, so you can trust they’ve been well and truly road-tested. Think of it as our kitchen taking its greatest hits on the road.
Here’s what you can expect to find on our menu:
- Pea, Broad Bean & Feta Croquette (ve) with chipotle chilli mayonnaise and a fresh spring garden salad.
- Smoked Pork Rib Eye finished with a sticky barbecue glaze, house slaw and crispy pork crackling.
- Slow Cooked Lamb Roulade with a Provençale herb crust, minted pea salad, confit garlic and rich lamb jus.
- Malabar Fish Curry featuring spice-roasted cod, grilled king prawn, coconut rice and toasted coconut chips.
Safe to say, we’re arriving hungry.
Make a weekend of it and stay at The George & Dragon
With 17 boutique-style bedrooms just steps from the action, The George & Dragon makes the perfect festival basecamp, located just opposite the park. Meaning less time travelling and more time enjoying cocktails, chef demos and live music.
A handful of rooms are still available to book for festival weekend, but not for much longer!
How we kicked off the celebrations
Earlier this year, we had the honour of hosting the official Pub in the Park 2026 launch event at The George & Dragon.

A handpicked crowd of food lovers and local legends gathered in our courtyard on a glorious spring evening for a sparkling drinks reception courtesy of award-winning English wine producer Chapel Down, followed by a curated tasting experience featuring dishes from five of Marlow’s favourite restaurants, including our own kitchen team at The George & Dragon.
Guests enjoyed an exclusive first taste of the magic heading to Higginson Park and we absolutely loved being part of it.
Having helped kick off the celebrations, we can safely say the countdown is well and truly on.
