A toast to tradition in Lichfield

Friday saw The Quill & Scholar host a “housewarming” to welcome local dignitaries and press from Lichfield to the pub after it opened to guests on the 27th March.

With a rousing welcome from the Town Crier which did, quite literally, stop the traffic in Lichfield, guests were also regaled with tales from “David Garrick” himself, welcomed by the Mayor and entertained by the City’s Aletasters who took their job to proclaim the pub’s beer drinkable very seriously.

Over lunch guests were serenaded by a harpist and also enjoyed a tasting with local brewery 52 Degrees and took away personally inscribed books as a souvenir.

Building relationships with the local community is fundamental to running a successful pub and we have been overwhelmed with the very warm welcome that the team at The Quill & Scholar have received from Lichfield locals.

Congratulations to Stuart, Costel and the team at The Quill & Scholar!
